"Fight The Smear" Campaign

Rumors riding piggyback on emails continue flying about Obama's past. The latest is a supposed video of Michelle using the "whitey" word - - which doesn't bother me. I've been called much worse. Riding the circuit again is the "Is he a Muslim?" rumor/question. Seems the Obama camp has (finally)caught on and is attempting a squelch for ongoing rumblings via website "Fight The Smears."

Justifiably and in all fairness his staff has taken the proactive response as words continue scrawling across computer screens. For those of fair-minded spirit that would like to read rebuttals, here it is: http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/fightthesmearshome/

Since Obama is campaigning for leader of the free world it is expected that his personal life be opened by the public. It's the associated generalizations and connotations, the constant witch hunt for absolutely any askew "a, and, or the" which is troubling.

Perhaps if scrutinizers had fished out their secret decoder rings and magnifiers pre-Bush, they would have found more fertile ground in the President's lack of foreign policy academia - - more than can certainly be found digging around through a candidate's church videos, a spousal college thesis, and book clips.

Let's play fair. What are the BIG issues, the ones demanding the gastric bypass?
