Republican strategist, Mike Murphy made a valid point today on Meet the Press.  The demographics of America are changing.   If Reagan's election was now, he would receive 46% of the vote based on current demographics.

Murphy also made the humorous comment that today's Republicans in Congress are like eunochs at a Playboy party.  They can yell and cheer, but that's about it.  If the party is to survive, they must change to meet the needs of their consituents.

The only constant about our world  - - it  is changing, often faster than many can adapt.

Any organism's ability to survive, with or without ideals, is its ability to adapt to change.
